As one of Norway’s largest organisations, Nav has an important role to play in the years ahead, as climate change and the green transition reshape the labour market. That calls for new skills and a new capacity to adapt. How we understand the changes around us, and how we translate that into everyday choices, matters a great deal – for the organisation, for the people we meet, and for the society we’re part of.
Nav wanted a shared “learning system” that would build a creative and engaging path toward a holistic understanding of sustainability across the organisation. Building knowledge about what drives sustainability at Nav shapes decisions and innovation, and can change behaviour, both toward users and society and among Nav’s own employees.
In collaboration with Nav, Storyboard developed an introductory course in sustainability with eight modules: four digital courses and four built around group work in physical sessions. The course is available to everyone at Nav through their internal learning portal, Kompasset.
The course takes place in a miniature world, built throughout in an isometric miniature style with “mixed reality.” Participants visit different Nav departments and watch videos featuring Nav leaders, who talk about how Nav can address key challenges such as emissions, resource use, the circular economy, and the green transition in working life. The modules include a range of interactive tasks where participants explore scenarios, make choices, and see the consequences, rather than just reading about them.
The course was produced in ComposerXR, Storyboard’s own authoring tool. It includes audio and a narrator’s voice, is responsive across all digital surfaces, and supports WCAG 2.1 at AA level.
